These unique educational centers are treasure chests of science, history, art, science, design, architecture, technology. With so many to choose from there, you are guaranteed to find the ones that interest you. Here is a look at ten of the best:

1) Israel Museum, Jerusalem

Ranked among the world’s leading art and archaeology museums, the Israel Museum houses over 500,000 objects, including the famous Dead Sea Scrolls, a vast collection of stunning archaeological finds, Judaica, European and modern art and an amazing sculpture garden to boot.

2) Diaspora Museum, Tel Aviv

This museum uniquely tells the story of the Jewish people over 2500 years of exile in different parts of the world, showing the rich and diverse worlds of various communities which evolved throughout the years.


3) MadaTech, Israel’s National Museum of Science, Technology and Space, Haifa

The Israel National Museum of Science, Technology & Space, is Israel’s premier institution of science education. MadaTech offers over 600 mostly interactive exhibits which demonstrate the evolution of science and the principles underlying the technological advancements that permeate modern life.

4) Yad Vashem, Jerusalem

Yad Vashem is Israel’s living memorial to the millions murdered in the Holocaust, where visitors follow a route that presents Jewish life in Europe prior to Nazis rule, during Nazi persecution, and survivor testimonies. The exhibits include rare photos, authentic film footage, including survivor testimony, historical documents and artifacts.

The Tel Aviv Museum of Art houses the best of Israeli art with works by Vincent Van Gogh, Amadeo Modigliani and Pablo Picasso and more.

6) Tower of David Museum, Jerusalem

The Tower of David Museum depicts 4,000 years of Jerusalem’s history, with a series of chambers that include maps, holograms, drawings, models and video to depict Jerusalem under its various rulers over time.

7) Israeli Children’s Museum, Holon

The Israeli Children’s Museum is a unique educational institution where kids are encouraged to touch the displays, feel the materials and even be part of the exhibits. Here kids become part of the stories and fantasies being told for a unique educational experience.

8) Bible Lands Museum, Jerusalem

The internationally acclaimed Bible Lands Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to the study of the civilizations of Biblical times, including the cultures of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Greece, the Sumerians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Hittites and Phoenicians.
